I’ve got new hosting account for free from my friend. Actually he just tired using the panel for two reasons :

1. Lack of shell command ( he only granted to use vi editor, other common task like tar command and wget not available).
2. No remote database access. Every domain created from panel only accessible from localhost.

No problem for me as I like to try new thing. I accept the account and I try to write everything related to this account for other who might face problem in utilize the same account.

How to add new database on Parallels Plesk Panel

Under Tools section click ‘Add New Database‘

Enter Database name and click OK.

Confirmation message will appear :

The database xxxx has been created.

Add database user for previously created database.

Enter user name, password (twice) and click OK button.

User created and ready to serve.

Not big problem for me 🙂

I still fight for ftp-ing many file as wget and tar command not available for shell account. (thanks GOD I have account at hostgator and bluehost that work very well)
