How to Create Weebly Account and Use Own Domain

My friend tell me about his new blog that he claim he get it for free. He only pointing his domain to ip address of service provider. After see his website I found he use Weebly service.

How to Create Weebly Account

Its easy to create an account with weebly, just visit weebly address and fill the form as seen on the picture.

  • Username : pick any user name
  • Password : enter your fav password
  • Email : enter your email address
  • Enter Captcha challenge as seen on the picture.

Click Sign Up button will bring you to welcome page.

Enter title and choose type of site.

Click Continue button.

Choose Your Website Domain

Choose subdomain and enter subdomain name.

Click Publish button.

At this stage you can view your weebly powered website.

Use all available tool to start use weebly.

Use your own domain with Weebly

To use your own domain with weebly click Settings link.

Edit site settings

Under General Settings click Change site address.

Scroll down and choose “Use a Domain You Already Own”

Enter the address and you’re done.

Weebly will give IP address that you use  for connecting your domain and weebly account.

As seen on the picture Weebly need you to set A record for @ record and www to IP address : 199.34.228.100

Login to your domain registrar and do what weebly said. When you’re done you can check it by visit the address.

You’re doing good job. You only need to login to your weebly account and click “publish” button to activate the domain.
